Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple is in the middle of the hills and forest area of Kondagattu, Muthyumpeta village of Mallial Mandal, Jagityal district. The presiding deity here is Anjaneya Swamy, with Lord Venkateswara, Alwaarlu and Lakshmi. Kondagattu temple timings are from 4:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
The temple has caves and a Rayuni fort on the north side, constructed 500 years ago. Anjaneya Swamy, here is Swamyambhoo, according to the Shilasasana, which is available on the external wall of the main temple.
Devotees here believe that couples who are not having children, have mental disabilities and have health diseases come and pray for 40 days in the temple to fulfil their wishes. The Poojas and rituals performed here to the Chathada Sri Vaishnava Agama Sampradaya deities.

History says a cowherd, Singam Sanjeevudu, is from Kodimyal Village. Once, he lost his buffalo and searched the hilly area. After resting, he stopped at a tree and soon fell to sleep. Lord Anjaneya Swamy appeared in his sleep and told him about his lost buffalo
whereabouts Sanjeevudu woke up and started searching as instructed in the dream.
He found the Idol of Lord Anjaneya. He started building the shrine there with the help of his wife, Ashamma. The temple was famous eventually from then.
Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy is believed as “Sanjeeva” in this region. The Idol of Anjaneya Swamy faced the temple’s north side along with Narasimha Vaktram Amburilla and Shanku Chakra. The devotees take Anjaneya Swamy Deeksha here for 11 days, 21 days, and 41 days.
The temple went into the custody of the State Endowment Department in the year 1968. Around 160 years ago, Krishna Rao Deshmukh renovated the temple and took responsibility.
