Saleshwaram temple is 60 km from Srisailam; the temple’s presiding deity is Lord Shiva. The Saleshwaram Lingamayya Swamy Temple timings are from 6 AM to 8 PM. The temple is known as Sarveswaram or Saleshwaram.
The temple is in a “Tiger Reserve Nallamala Forest” cave, famous for its trekking spot in the Mahabubnagar district. There are two ponds, Sarvesa theertham and Pushkara theertham. The temple was built during the 6th and 7th Centuries AD.

According to Sriparvatha Purana in the 16th Century, Seshanatha, in his description, glorifies this place. The temple is constructed in a shallow cave with bricks and mortar. In front of the temple, there is a waterfall, the waterfalls from the height of nearly 200 meters. Around the temple, we can see the refreshing greenery, which creates hypnotic scenic beauty.

Saleshwaram Lingamayya Swamy Temple is open from 6 AM to 11 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM. Still, the temple is open only 3 to 5 days a year during Chaitra Masam full moon day, usually in April. Many devotees visit the temple only on those days.
If the devotees want to see the temple on other days, they need permission from the forest officer. Devotees must walk on foot for 1 to 2 km to reach the temple. There is a forest path to Srisailam, which devotees used long ago.
Festivals Celebrated
Lingamayya Jathara is organised in the Saleshwaram temple once every two years. Thousands of devotees visited the temple during Jathara. The temple remains closed most of the year.
