Hamsaladeevi Beach is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Andhra Pradesh(AP). Hamsaladeevi is a village in Andhra Pradesh(state) located in Diviseema, Koduru(Mandal), Krishna District. It was translated as “Swans Island” in the local language. Beach Timings are 9 am–5 pm.

The Krishna River meets the Bay of Bengal at this point. Outside of Hamsaladeevi, the Krishna River joins the Bay of Bengal. Here at Sagara Sangamam, we can see three colours of water where the river meets the Bay. It is a must-visit place in Hamsaladeevi.

At Hamsaladeevi, there is also an old Venugopala Swamy temple. The Venugopala Swamy temple is one of 108 temples dedicated to Vishnu. HamsalaDeevi Venugopala Swamy Temple has a great ancient history dating back to the Pallavas and Chalukyas dynasties. Lord Venugopala Swamy is seen in this ancient Temple with his consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama.

It, also locally known as Kondapalli Kota, lies to the west of Kondapalli in Vijayawada, the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh, India’s NTR district. Prolaya Vema Reddy of Reddi Kingdom built this historical fort, also known as Kondapalli Quilla, during the 14th century CE. 

Undavalli Caves:

The Undavalli Caves are ancient cave temples believed to have been built between the 4th and 5th centuries by the Gupta dynasty. The caves are located on a hill overlooking the Krishna River. Caves are carved out of solid sandstone on the hillside. 

Machilipatnam Lighthouse:

MachilipatnamA 50 m high lighthouse on the Beach is a sight of pure beauty and grace. Coloured in bands of black and white, this lighthouse was renovated to its present form in 1982 and completed in 1984. It is near the Beach.

Sai Maharaj Devalayam:

Lying at the district court centre of Machilipatnam, Sai Maharaj Devalayam is a popular deity in the town. It is dedicated to Sri Shirdi Saibaba, housing hidden idols, and attracts devotees in large numbers.

Machilipatnam Church:

Another important shrine in Machelipatnam, Machilipatnam Church, is quite popular among tourists and devotees. The church was built in the 19th century and comprises prayer halls crafted by an English man.

Sri Ramalingeswara Swami Vari Devasthanam:

This Hindu Temple is dedicated to God Shiva and decorated like a bride, come Mahashivratri. You will have a breathtaking view of the colourful city and the Krishna River from here.

Mopidevi Temple:

Mopidevi temple is one of the famous temples located 80km from Vijayawada in a village called Mopidevi. The deity is in the form of Siva lingam, self-manifested(swayambhu).

This Temple is famous for “childless couples for children” and other poojas like sarpadosha nivarana pooja, Rahu Ketu pooja… etc. This Temple is also called Subramanyeswar Swamy temple.
