History of Kondagattu Temple

History says a cowherd, Singam Sanjeevudu, is from Kodimyal Village. Once, he lost his buffalo and searched the hilly area. After resting, he stopped at a tree and soon fell to sleep. Lord Anjaneya Swamy appeared in his sleep and told him about his lost buffalo

whereabouts Sanjeevudu woke up and started searching as instructed in the dream.

He found the Idol of Lord Anjaneya. He started building the shrine there with the help of his wife, Ashamma. The temple was famous eventually from then.
