Kapila Theertham Tirupati temple is also known as Kapileswara Swamy temple. The Temple is dedicated to God Shiva and is located near the Tirumala hills in Andhra Pradesh. The Kapileswara Swamy temple attracts huge waterfalls from the mountain stream Palapa Vinasanam. The Kapila Theertham Temple Timings are 05:00 am to 09:00 pm.

The Temple’s entrance is a mountain cave in one of Tirumala hills’ steep and vertical faces. The main god of the Temple is believed and installed by Kapila Muni. So here, Lord Shiva worshipped as Kapileswara.

Kapila Theertham History:

According to legends, Kapil Muni had performed powerful penance to Lord Shiva at this place, and then Siva and Parvati presented themselves. The Shiva lingam was believed to be self-manifested. Bilam believes Kapil Muni in Pushkarini on earth.

The Kapil Theertham temple was supported by Vijayanagara Kings during the 13th to 16th centuries (Emperor King Saluva Narasimha Deva Raya to King Sri Krishna Deva Raya). This Temple is under the control, administration and protection of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).

Dress Code at Kapileswara Swamy Tirupati Temple:

Here, men are allowed with white Pancha, Pyjama, Dhoti, and Kurta, and Women should wear a saree with a blouse, a Punjabi dress with a Dupatta, and a Half saree.
